When should I place my order?
The sooner the better! I do not hold spots. It’s a first come first serve. We recommend contacting us 2 weeks to a month prior to your event.
*2-4 months before weddings but earlier is better
How do I place an order?
There are a couple of different ways. You can fill out the inquiry form or send a message to our business page The Baking Point NC on Instagram or Facebook.
How do I hold my spot for a cake? And pay for my cake?
Once all details of the cake have been confirmed and price has been accepted. We will send an invoice for a 20% retainer fee. The final payment is due prior to or upon pickup. Payments accepted: Cash or check (previous customers ONLY), Venmo, or invoicing.
Do you offer cake tastings?
I do not currently offer in person cake tastings, however, I do offer cake sample boxes that include six different cake flavors and a sample of 6 or 7 buttercream frostings. Message me to order (require at least 2 weeks notice).
Do you offer delivery?
Yes! This must be requested prior to cake order being taken. The cost of delivery will be added to the final cake total. For zip code 27565, $5 charge for delivery. Anything outside of 27565 zip code will be charged $1 per mile.

Do you make special dietary cakes?
We do not currently offer special dietary cakes. All cakes and cookies are baked together and are subject to cross contamination of major allergens.
Is this a storefront bakery?
No, all desserts are made in a cottage food operated kitchen that is not subject to North Carolina’s food safety regulations.
How do I cut my cake to get the most servings?
We are happy to provide a cutting guide to get the most out of your cake. Just send us a message prior to pickup and we will have it attached to your cake box upon pickup.
